Liverpool University offers a range of fully accredited Earth Science degrees, broadly divided into geology, geophysics, and a joint-honours geology and physical geography degree programme. These programmes run as either a three-year BSc degree, or a four-year MESci which includes a major independent research project that allows students to specialise in their year 4 studies.
Liverpool University has taught Earth Science subjects for over 100 years, and that accumulated experience and expertise means we understand very well how to teach cutting-edge Earth Science to students in a supportive, friendly way, making best use of our state-of-the-art, superbly-equipped and purpose-built teaching spaces. Our teaching approach emphasises development of the skills and confidence required to progress to a rewarding career, either in Earth Science, or in something completely different that makes use of many of the transferable skills students develop in our degree programmes. Whichever Earth Science programme you chose to study at Liverpool, it will give you the skills to go out into the changing world and make a positive difference
